Leading industry experts are convinced in the prospective of the renewable
energy industry of Ukraine
At the renewable
energy industry market, the positive expectations prevail, in relation to the
short term prospective of the new industry development in Ukraine. Despite of
the fact, that still, there are not many realized infrastructure projects in
the country, for the last year, a number of projects have transferred from the
«paper» stage to the stage of practical realization. Those are the conclusion
of the Renewable Energy Center «FuelAlternative». At the 3rd
International Renewable Energy Forum, REF-2011, Fuel Alternative will present a
detailed analysis of the alternative types of fuel and energy market, and the
prospective of its development.
The biggest
growth rates of new capacities are related to the solar power engineering. If
at the beginning of 2011, the general established capacity of solar systems,
working under «green tariff» amounted to 2.535 megawatt, it’s expected that it
will exceed 100 megawatt by the end of 2011.
«It is hard to
forecast the market at such an early stage, but we expect, that the total
established power will have a triple digit in megawatts, by the end of this
year. We are in the process of completion of the 80-megawatt project now», in
accordance with Dr. Johann Harter, executive director of the ActivSolar, the
section partner on the solar power engineering of the REF-2011 Forum. At the
forum, the company will present its achievements and plans, regarding the
development of the Ukrainian solar power engineering market.
Colleagues from
Russia, in addition to that, state the development and growing attraction of
the Ukrainian renewable energy market.
«For the last several years, we have
observed a dynamic development of the solar power engineering market in
Ukraine. Plus, investments are directed both at the formation of the raw
material base of the sector, production of mono and polycrystal silicon, and
directly at the solar power plants. This fact makes 3rd
International Renewable Energy Forum REF-2011 interesting both for potential
investors and specialists of the solar power engineering sphere and
representatives of the legal and executive branches of power, from a position
of getting acquainted with the experience of realization of some assistance program
of the solar power engineering in Ukraine.
I’m convinced that the Forum will play a role of platform for
demonstration of the current development status of the sector in the CIS and
local fruitful contacts», says Andrew Kotenko, member of the board of directors
of the Nitol Solar companies group, Russia.
Russian specialist, together with the
leading world companies of the sector, have been to the International Renewable
Energy Forum for the third time, which, in their words, serves as an indicator
for developing the sector in the CIS and serves as reach source of information
on the recent achievements and implemented projects in Ukraine.
This segment of the «small» hyrdo power
engineering, even though is considered by the specialists of the «Fuel Alternative»
as the most developed in Ukraine, still has an impressive potential of growth.
«At the present time, it’s hard to assess the
potential of small hydro power engineering in Ukraine, and accordingly, market
capacity, due to the changes in the conditions of use of the coastal lands
(building, economic activity) and economic use of water taken from rivers. For
instance, there were more than 50 small hydropower stations, with a capacity of
30 to 5000 kilowatts. According to the preliminary estimate, the hydro energy
potential of small rivers in Ukraine amount to 19 billion kilowatt per hour and
approximately 50 percent of the total hydro energy potential», says Mr. Jakov
Blyashko, the general director of the «MNTO INSET» company, moderator of the
section on small hydro power engineering of the REF-2011 forum.
The wind power
industry segment also has an impressive prospective. The key event of the year
for the sector of wind energy was the launch of
the first line of the wind farm called ”Novoazovskiy” in the Bezimyanniy town,
Novoazovskiy district, in the coastal area of Asov Sea(with a first line
capacity of 25 megawatt, total capacity of the wind farm will be 107.5
megawatt) in July, 2011.
In
particular, 10 wind generators of one German company called Fuhrländer AG, have
been installed at the object. Also, the Greek company called Sa Prime Energy
Construction SA (sponsor of the wind power engineering section, REF-211) plans
to implement the large-scale project of the wind farm construction, with a
total capacity of 1000 megawatt in Pervomaysk, Razdolnenskiy, Krasnoperekopsk
and Leninskiy districts of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
